I'm MacKenna Perry, founder of Clarity Practice Partners. I'm based in Sherwood, just outside Portland, and I support mental health practitioners across Oregon with billing, bookkeeping, and small business consulting.

I hold a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology with a focus on occupational health, well-being, and work-life balance. This background helps me support practitioners in ways that go beyond just managing tasks. I understand how the right systems and support shape both business success and your day-to-day experience of running a practice.

I also come to this work with a personal connection. Therapy has shaped my life in profound ways. I've been a therapy client for over 15 years, and I'm grateful to have had therapists who went out of their way to help me access care through insurance. I love every chance I get to pay that support forward in my work.

When I’m not working, you'll find me traveling, spending time with my toddler and family, or curled up with a good book. I’m happiest getting to know and support others, and strangers often ask me if I always smile this much. (I do!)

The Why behind Clarity Practice Partners.

When I launched a consulting firm in 2017, fresh out of a Ph.D. program, I expected to focus on organizational psychology consulting. What I didn't expect was how much I'd enjoy developing billing systems, doing my bookkeeping, and dreaming up the processes and systems that kept everything running smoothly. That work energized me—the same work that exhausted other small business owners I spoke with.

I also had the privilege of watching my best friend build her own private practice (check out Common Threads Counseling). I saw through her eyes how demanding it is to provide excellent care while managing all the business pieces.

That's why I created Clarity Practice Partners. I get to do work I enjoy that keeps your practice healthy so that you can put your energy where it belongs: with your clients and your own well-being. Taking what I can off your plate to help you and your practice thrive gives me the warm fuzzies.
